Emergency? Do not email us

We cannot respond in time to a pet emergency. If your animal ate something toxic, is struggling to breathe, is having a seizure, or is in obvious distress, call your veterinarian or the nearest emergency clinic now. In the United States you can also reach the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 or Pet Poison Helpline at (855) 764-7661. Both services may charge a consultation fee.

What to email us about

• Corrections. Include the page address, the number you think is wrong, and a link to the source you are comparing against.
• Bugs. Tell us your device, browser, the values you entered, and what you expected to see.
• Veterinary reviewers. Licensed veterinarians and credentialed nutritionists who would like to review a page are welcome to introduce themselves.
• Embedding and partnerships. The puppy weight and dog food calculators have free embeddable versions. Ask us if you need another.
• Privacy requests. See the privacy policy for what we collect and how to opt out.

What we cannot do

We are not a veterinary practice. We cannot diagnose, recommend a treatment, interpret lab work, or tell you what is wrong with your pet by email. We also cannot recommend a specific brand of food or a custom diet plan. For those, book an appointment with your veterinarian or a board-certified veterinary nutritionist.

Response time

We aim to reply within a few business days. Messages about errors in medical or safety content are handled first. For general feedback you may not get a personal answer, but every idea is read and weighed against the methodology when we plan updates.
